Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

When i first heard about Brotherhood i thougt that it was just another movie or a short spinoff to milk the series for as much money as they could. Boy was i wrong there.

What can be said about this remake? Especially when the original was so good? Well, unlike the original Fullmetal Alchemist what you get in Brotherhood is what you did not get in the original, a storyline that follows the manga all the way down to the very exact kanji.  The action scenes was scripted really great, and this version will not be afraid to throw some blood out there. The emotions that you will get illustrated from each and everyone of  the characters faces are proof of how great the skill of Arakawa the animators are. Brotherhood is going all the way back to the very beginning to retell the story of the two brothers, Al and Ed Elric on their journy to learn more about alchemy. The story this time around is even more heart-warming and funny. It speaks about human behavior.

There are quite many big differences between Brotherhood and the origianl Fullmetal Alchemist. The original series started out in a much darker tone, showing in detail the taboo that the two brothers once did. The soundtrack for the series was perfect and did set the mood and drama when the brothers where going to sett off from their hometown. The problem now with brotherhood is that i find that its soundtrack added nothing to the story and is at times, nonexistent. The original only summarizes the early events by shown flashbacks of the event while Brotherhood  will offer up a few new details and is also much btter at setting the overall mood and in tone in the series while it is going to show you what Hiromu Arakawa illustrate.

And i hope that everyone is as happy as me with what they turned winry into for Brotherhood as when we last saw her in the end of The Conqueror of Shamballah, it looked like she would just keel over and die at any moment. In Brotherhood however, we get alot more developement for her character. Heck, she has her very own ending song.

it is an absolutrecommendation if you saw the original or read the manga. if you on the other hand are just looking for someting legendary, i would say you should watch this as Bones keep a reallygood animation quality throughout the whole series. The soundtrack as stated above was just great as it grants the atmosphere of the story, and will make sure for a show that will keep you entertained.
