Moonlight Mile: Touch Down

If you watched first season of Moonlight Mile should know that it centerd on Gorou and Woodbridge with their quest to reach the moon. They have conquered the highest mountains in the world. Now the two of them have set their eyes on the final frontier, space. They will race to reach the moon first, Gorou will try to do it trough the International Space Agency and Woodbridge will try trough the U.S. military.

What i found to be very sad about the second season was the rivalry that has come up between Woodbridge and Gorou as hey where once partners who where climbing mountains together. Now they almost do not se wach other at all, it was more like Gorou did not know that Woodbridge was in space and on hes way until thea near end of the show. What else was gone is the interaction Gorou used to have with Riyoko, it made me a bit sad.

The first season was inspirational and wich played out between men who dared to dream, they tryed hard to make their dreams come true. This is ofcourse still present in the this season. However, it will feel more like it is forced into this season. I Also noticed that this season had far more technotalk and too many close calls wich made the season seemed less realistic this time around. there were too many recurring things happening in to many different situations. The political aspect Really enjoyable in this season as it showed the audience how politics can be used to drive innovation by developing base on the moon to gain energy.

They try to add some politics in by showing the conflict of countries to win the “space” battle. Although it is shown quite a bit either much of it was lost on me because of language or… it was just downplayed too much. Well I’m not going to ruin it for you but you’ll find that at one point the conflict that is shown is almost a joke . Besides the political side nothing else was really worth mentioning. I think the only reason I would ever consider rewatching this is to watch it with subs, but that is very unlikely. I didn’t enjoy it that much and only recommend it to those who REALLY enjoyed the first season. Therefore this would be suited for sci-fi and space fans, so If you give it go, good luck.
